Full depth repair, specifically, is required when surface rehabilitation is no longer possible – the damage is all-consuming. The precise evaluative measures required to assess severity, preserve labor in the reparative measures, and create long-lasting preventative to deterioration speaks toward the measures we seek out in surviving our day-to-day. This work is not to pay homage to, but to slow down and observe the care-effect that paying attention to these sites, sites that have care and reconstruction grazing every supporting object, can have on the standard routes of our day. From this, I hope to signal back to the emotive return that is provided when you spend time looking deeper, with kinder eyes, the objects and materials that we often overlook (filling the empty vessel by seeking out meaning within its details).
