Clinical Detachment investigates Le Differend, a philosophical anecdote founded by Jean François Lyotard. This mind space can be best described by feelings of hypocrisy in making work abroad as a visiting artist. Through the imagery of Berlin-specifc shelter materials, grocery boxes from local grocery stores, and local soft-scape materials this work served as a catalyst for conversation around how to learn site-specifc empathy for a new space that is not your own.
